Electric Car Incentives
Save money, time and the environment by investing in the All-Electric CODA. Incentives range from the federal tax credit of up to $7,500 to single-occupant access to California carpool lanes. CODA is currently available in California. PLUG-IN EV TAX CREDIT
2012 CODA qualifies for the federal tax credit of up to $7,500 by Internal Revenue Code Section 30D. To obtain the credit:

Step 2: Submit 8936 form with your tax return (1040)

STATEWIDE
CLEAN VEHICLE REBATE PROJECT
2012 CODA qualifies for the zero emission vehicle (ZEV) rebate up to $2,500. To apply, follow the 3 step process on the California Center fro Sustainable Energy (CCSE) website here:
Step 1: Fill out Application, download here
Step 2: If approved, supply additional documentation via mail to CCSE, see additional documentation here
Step 3: CCSE will review signed, completed application and additional documents to ensure applicant meets all requirements. If confirmed, a rebate check will be sent out in approximately 60 days.

HIGH OCCUPANCY VEHICLE (HOV) LANE EXEMPTION
CODA qualifies for the White Clean Air Vehicle sticker allowing single-occupant use of HOV lanes. Use of these lanes with only one occupant requires a Clean Air Vehicle Sticker issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
