Electric car maker Coda Holdings said it has started production of its flagship sedan for the 2012 model year. The car has a 10-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty and a base sticker price of $39,900.
The company made the announcement today at the Los Angeles International Auto Show.
Coda says its vehicle’s motor puts out 134 horsepower and accelerates to 85 mph “with ease.” Range is up to 150 miles, which is almost five times the average daily commuting distance. The car’s battery can be recharged fully in six hours, or can go 100 miles after a four-hour charge and 50 miles after two hours.
